🌍 FWC VISION

Family Worship Centre exists to love and worship God, and to demonstrate God’s transforming love to the saved and unsaved man in order to make him an agent of that love.

Our Founding Pastors

Family Worship Centre is a subsidiary of Family Ministries International, founded on 11 April 1993 by the late Pastor Inalegwu Omakwu and his wife, Pastor Sarah Omakwu. Our church is widely recognized across Nigeria for its focus on practical love, compassion, family enrichment, and intensive missionary and social outreach programs.

Pastor Sarah Omakwu currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Family Worship Centre, and President of Family Ministries International. Her life passionately models the Agape Love of God, which is evident in her compassion, giving and caring. Her belief that the gospel should be ‘good news’ to the weak and vulnerable has been the drive behind FWC’s large-scale support of widows, orphans, prisoners and people displaced by sectarian strife.

❤️ MISSIONS

“ The People Who Care ”

“ The People Who Care ”

For over 26 years, I have had the privilege of watching God move in prison yards, in the homes of widows, in the lives of orphans and on the mission fields where our missionaries serve faithfully.

This work was never just a role for me, it is a calling. And every life touched, every breakthrough, every child who receives an opportunity they would not have had otherwise, reminds me why we do this.

The Missions Department exists because we believe that the love of God is not meant to just stay within the walls of a church. It is meant to go — into communities, into prisons, into the hands of the vulnerable, and to the ends of the earth. That is what we are committed to, and that is what we will keep doing, by His grace.

If you are reading this, I want you to know, there is a place for you in this mission. Whether you give, pray, or serve, you are part of what God is building here.

✝️ OUR INITIATIVES

"Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction." - James 1: 27

As a ministry, we are deeply committed to supporting vulnerable populations across Northern Nigeria. Widows of late pastors. Children who lost a father to ministry. Missionaries pressing on in the field. Inmates in prisons and correctional facilities.

We provide financial support, educational sponsorship, discipleship, and encouragement — because we believe the love of Christ was never meant to be proclaimed from a safe distance. It was always meant to be carried. In person. Into the hard places. By people willing to go.

🎯 impact

Over the years, our journey has been one of faith, compassion, and consistent impact. What started as a call to serve has grown into a movement of love, with each year telling a story of lives touched, prayers answered, and seeds sown.

2025

Walking in Dominion

2025 was a year of tremendous growth. Our focus was the Dominion Mandate, teaching believers to understand their identity in Christ and walk boldly in purpose and faith. From our annual Missions Week to the 6th edition of the Late Pastors’ Wives (Widows) & Youth Conference in Jos, lives were deeply impacted through teachings, support in collaboration with some of our partners, and fellowship. We also expanded our outreach efforts through hospital outreaches, alongside our ongoing prison ministry, continuing our mission to bring hope, healing, and practical care to those in need. Every life touched through it all is a testament to what God continues to do through this ministry.

After my husband passed, life became very difficult for me and my children. There were days I didn’t know how we would eat or pay school fees. But through FWC Missions, God remembered us. They supported us with money, food, and my children’s education, and stood with us in love and prayers.
